There are now more reasons than ever to mediate. No longer is it just for those on the spiritual path but for anyone. The tangible health benefits are numerous and are continually being reinforced by science. But besides the obvious benefits like “calming the mind” or “getting rid of anxiety” what can A Path of Joy workshop offers that is unique?
The difference is that all the benefits you may have heard of are side effects of experiencing what you already have within you. Is that not amazing? You have everything you need in your true nature. This meditation goes for the root and from there every area of life can improve. The most obvious improvement will be a change in perception or attitude. This happens automatically. The fact that your blood pressure decreases and you can deal with the challenges of life better is a wonderful by product of going inwards. This is putting the cart before the horse and is a natural way to live.
We think the opposite. We think that getting rid of our anxiety for example will give us peace. It makes sense to the mind but the truth is that by exploring the stillness, already there is no anxiety. This direct path shows us truth from fantasy. No longer is it a struggle to “get rid of” this or to “change that” but to experience the root that does not change and is free already.
